PSI Planning was established by Peter Schwarz, after a 36-year public sector career primarily focused on urban planning, zoning and building, economic development and code compliance. Pete's experience and innovative approach resulted in equally satisfying outcomes for the development community and the local jurisdictions and its citizens.
Pete began his planning career at Broward County's Planning Services Division (now Urban Planning Division) as an Assistant Planner and has worked at the Broward County Planning Council, ascending to its Director of Planning before moving to the City of Oakland Park, Florida, as the Assistant Director of Planning, Zoning and Building and then as the City’s Director of Community and Economic Development, responsible for Planning and Zoning, the Oakland Park Community Redevelopment Agency, and Code Enforcement.
Each of these roles prepared Pete for the challenges facing developers, builders, property owners, and local governments in South Florida today.
